Finely chop the garlic if not using garlic powder. Keep it aside.
Cut the onion into half and slice them into thin slices. Keep it aside.
Take a pan and add butter.
Let the butter heat and then add the chicken cubes to the pan.
Add salt to taste and fry them until cooked thoroughly.
When done transfer them into a bowl. Keep them aside.
In the same pan add butter.
Let it heat and then add the sliced onion and sauté it until caramelized. Keep the flame on medium.
Now add the finely chopped garlic (skip this step if using garlic powder).
Sauté the garlic nicely until golden brown and the raw scent is gone.
Next, add the oregano and chili flakes and stir them nicely until fragrant.
Add the fresh cream and stir consistently. Keep the flame on low.
Stir everything continuously for about 30 seconds. After this add the garlic powder if not using finely chopped garlic.
Now, add the cheese slices and keep on stirring until everything comes together and the cheese melts completely.
